heartbreak

Like stair steps in life
scenes play themselves out
sometimes allowing graceful accent

other times

we seem to stumble backwards

while still

moving ahead

realization

As we wander through life
learning to love
experiencing loss
struggling to cope
with gracious
well-mannered approach
it's easy
to fall short
as our sin
comes so thoroughly
ingrained

sky thoughts

Tonight's sky
is beautiful dark blue shiney
with millions of stars
glimmering, lighting, illuminating
a dark, crisp night.

Our heavens,
like a roof for our world,
look so pretty
that when gazed upon
can seem
unreal, imaginary, sculpted
perfect
for us,
today, this moment,
forever engraved
upon memory banks.
